Mountain Climber: Tom Whittaker

Not only did Tom Whittaker climb Mt. Everest, but he did so with only one foot. He was in a major car wreck and lost a foot. He still climbed Mt. Everest. His letter I think shows what an amazing individual he is. He says, “People that have abandoned their dreams will stand in the way of you achieving your dreams. Never ever abandon your dreams! Tom Whittaker the first disabled person to climb Mt. Everest May 27th 1989”
