Barbara Morgan

This is a letter that I have wanting to put on here for a while and in the last week has gained an even more special place in my heart. Barbara Morgan was Christa Mcauliffe's backup. She has since become an astronaut and just launched on board the Space Shuttle Endeavor. I was actually a guest of NASA at the launch and got to see it from about 3 miles away. The launch was amazing, especially knowing that there was a teacher on board. To read about the launch, you can check out my other blog, The Room 42 Daily. I wrote to Barbara Morgan when I was in college and I think it is completely fitting that a teacher added notes to a form letter and added a special note at the end. This is absolutely one of my favorite letters in my entire collection.
