Dear Mr. Kelsey

I have collected autographs for over 20 years. When I was in college I started writing to celebrities and asking them what they would tell a class of elementary school students. Over the years I have gotten over 200 letter and signed pictures to my students. I think that by these very busy people taking the time to share their thoughts with students, it shows the power of education. I hope you enjoy my collection

Former Secretary of State Alexander Haig

Occasionally you will see Alexander Haig on the news, or read about him in the newspaper. He was the Secretary of State for President Reagan and was a figure in the Watergate era of American Politics. He sent a great letter talking about patriotism. He also sent a signed picture signed to me with Best Wishes. Every time I get a letter from someone I am reminded of the power of education and how busy these people are but they take the time to write a letter to a class of students because they know how important education is. Wow!
