Welcome to Dear Mr. Kelsey

Hello, and welcome to the Dear Mr. Kelsey blog. I teach fifth grade in Liberty, MO. I am also an avid autograph collector. When I was in college I started writing to celebrities and asking them what they would tell a class of elementary school students. I have amassed a collection of over 200 letters and pictures signed to my students. I am going to attempt to put many of them here for the kids and others to see.

I think it is truly amazing that people with incredibly busy lives are willing to take the time to share a few words with students. I think this shows the power of education. The letters I have received have gone from the touching to the hilarious. I hope you enjoy looking at these letters as much as my kids in my class do.
